SJSC President's Cup Update

With the continued GotSport outage, we are preparing to run the President’s Cup this weekend the old fashion way!  While we believe that GotSport will be back up and running soon, if it is still down for the weekend San Juan will take the following measures to ensure that we can run the event.

Rosters

Due to the outage, many teams have not been able to form their rosters, and we are not able to print game cards.  As such we will not be requiring rosters for this event.  We will check player cards at the check-in table to confirm players are eligible, and referees will check players in at the field prior to each game.

Schedules/ Results/ Standings

Because schedules and standings are not displaying, we have created a google sheet with the event schedule.  We will update this document with results from the event and publish standings here.  There are several tabs at the bottom of the document.  One with the event schedule by time, then a tab for each division

Communication

As you are aware we do all of our event-specific communication through GotSport.  Without access to team-specific contact information, we are asking all managers or coaches to this form to ensure that we have contact information for each team

Application Deadline:

• President's Cup (U9-U14) - January 22, 2023

Tournament Fees:

• U09-U12: $695
• U13-U14: $995
• Late Registration Penalty: $75
• Withdrawal Penalty: $100 After Application Deadline and Before being Accepted, Whole Registration fee once accepted. 

Acceptance Notification no later than:

• January 29, 2023
• Early Acceptance for Out-of-State Teams

The tournament guarantees at least 3 games played over 2-3 days. Some brackets will have a championship game providing some teams with a 4th game.

If you have any kind of special scheduling requests, please login your gotsoccer team account, click on President's Cup and on the Requests Tab - type your request and SAVE.

Coaching conflicts - Please make sure your coach is associated as HEAD coach in the gotsoccer team accounts of all the teams (s)he is coaching.

The 2023 San Juan President's Cup Tournament is open for registration! This is the second year of our popular President's Cup tournament over President's Day Weekend. This tournament is a premier tournament focusing on Premier U9-U14 (2014-2009 Birth Year) teams.

San Juan President's Cup is for U9-U14 and will be played on February 18-20 at San Juan Soccer Club's Field Complex as the main field and Mather Soccer Complex as an additional venue.

The event is open to Silver and above boys and girls teams U9-U14.  All affiliations are accepted USYSA/USCS/etc.

All age groups will play in a tournament format with a guaranteed 3 games.  Awards will be given to the age group champions and finalists following championship games.
