I am happy to announce I will be playing Division 1 soccer at the University of Kentucky beginning in the spring of 2016. I never thought I would end up over 2,000 miles away from home, but I immediately fell in love with UK and the soccer program Coach Jon Lipsitz and his staff have created. Playing collegiate soccer has been a dream of mine since I was nine years old, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without many supporters in my life. I would like to thank all my coaches, especially John Chimienti, Zeca Neto, EJ Sharpe and Tony Perez for pushing me to my full potential and developing me into the player I am. I would also like to express my gratitude for my teammates for always bringing a competitive mindset to trainings and games, and for making my youth soccer experience so memorable. And finally, my family. Thank you to my brother, Brennan, and my sister, Summer, for attending my hundreds of soccer games since before they could even walk, and for inspiring me to be a leader and role model. And to my parents, I cannot begin to express my appreciation for your endless love and encouragement throughout these past seventeen years. Thank you for your guidance and for being my biggest fans as I begin this next chapter of my life. I’m honored to represent San Juan at UK and to have the opportunity to play the game I love at the next level.
