Since the ECNL’s inception in 2009, this year proved to be the most successful year for San Juan in the top girl’s league in the country. San Juan concluded their regular ECNL season in Utah on May 1st, racking up critical points and results for our U14-U17 teams, with 7 wins and 1 tie. As a result, our U16 team won the California Division Championship of the Northwest Conference, and solidified their position in the Champions League! Being in the Champions League for playoffs means that at the ECNL Championships June 24-28 in Oceanside, they will be one of 32 teams in the nation competing to advance to the ECNL Final Four in Maryland July 9-10. Our U15 team clinched 2nd place in Divisional play, and also solidified their position in the Champions League this summer.
Our U17 team clinched 2nd place in our Division, as well as summer playoff qualification, but awaits their fate regarding which Division they will be competing in during playoffs. Our U14 team concluded the season with a very respectable 3rd place finish in the California Division of our conference. And lastly, our U18s finished in 6th place in Divisional play, battling through some roster changes as a result of a couple players graduating High School early this year to play the Spring season with their new college teams. The impact that all of our U18 girls left on our San Juan family has been exceptional. We thank, congratulate and wish our seniors the best of luck as they advance into their collegiate careers and exciting future!
