I am extremely thankful and excited to announce that I have verbally committed to play soccer for and attend the University of Miami in 2019. The University of Miami is not only in one of the best conferences in the nation (ACC), but the academics are incredible also. Playing Division 1 soccer has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. I never imagined that I would go to college on the other side of the country, but once I visited Miami in February, I fell in love with the school, the soccer program and the community. I have attended private Catholic schools my whole life and I am looking forward to continuing my private school education at the University of Miami. The Miami coaches have been very welcoming and encouraging and I knew I wanted to play for Mary Frances, Tim and Kate after spending time with all of them. I am especially grateful to Tim for having so much interest in me as a player and a person and for taking a lot of time to talk to me over the phone.
I would first like to thank the people who never doubted my abilities. My family has supported me through everything and I could not be more grateful to them. Thank you to my mom for constantly reminding me that my dreams can become a reality with a lot of hard work. Thank you to my dad for doing everything he can to ensure that I am happy. Thank you to my sisters, Gigi, Lulu and Maggie for always being good sports about being dragged to countless numbers of practices and games all over the place.
I would also like to thank my soccer coaches over the years, you have all helped shape the soccer player I am today. Brandon Cavitt, Melissa Cavitt, and Jeremy Field at BOCA for giving me a great soccer foundation, teaching me strong foot skills and to love the game. A very special thank you to my San Juan coaches Zeca Neto and Erin Sharpe. Zeca pushed me to crave improvement and to always fight to play my best. Erin helped lay out my plan to be able to play college soccer and helped me grow as a player and a person. Lastly, thank you to my teammates for making my soccer experience so enjoyable and memorable.
I cannot wait to see what the future holds for me at the University of Miami. See “U” in 2019! Go Canes!!
