I am so excited to announce that I will be playing soccer at Cal Poly in San Louis Obispo. It has been my dream since I was a little girl to play Division 1 soccer and I’m so thankful that I have the opportunity to do so. My first year with San Juan, when I was a junior in high school, introduced me to a higher level of soccer and many new friends. I would like to thank my San Juan coach, Erin Sharp, for giving me the opportunity to play for her team and for believing in me.
I’d also like to thank all of the coaches I’ve had in Reno, Joe Mavis, Jen Mavis, Vanessa Mann, Garret Moss, Marco Merlo, and of course my dad, for always believing in me to make it to where I am.
I am thankful for the Cal Poly SLO soccer staff for giving me the opportunity to play for their soccer program and to attend the beautiful school where I will study Kinesiology.
Thank you to all of the teammates I have ever had who pushed me to be where I am and for making some of the greatest friendships I have today.
Above all, I thank my parents for supporting me and never giving up on me, for taking me to tournaments and soccer games and practices. And to my siblings who were dragged out to all my games and tournaments and for always keeping me happy.
I’m very thankful to be where I am at today. GO MUSTANGS
