I am so incredibly happy to announce my commitment to the University of Hawaii! It has been my dream ever since I was little to play Division 1 soccer for a program like UH’s. There are a countless number of people I’d like to thank for helping me get to this point. First off, I’d like to thank my coaches from the early years, Rachel, Kylie, and Curtis, who helped me develop and grow as a young player. Tony Perez holds a special place in my heart and has had an enormous impact on my soccer career for more reasons than he knows. Lastly, Erin Sharpe for constantly pushing me day after day to be a better player and person, on and off the field. Thank you to my teammates. I’ve been with San Juan for 8 years now and wouldn’t have been able to do it without having my sisters by my side. The lifelong relationships that I’ve made with these girls is priceless (s/o to Janessa Staab). I’d also like to thank my trainer, Sotera Chelini, for helping me become a stronger, faster, and healthier athlete. Thank you to my mom and dad for always believing in me, and for giving me encouragement and love when I needed it the most. Thank you to my sister, Yumi, for being a role model to me, and showing me where perseverance can get you. Lastly, I’d like to say thank you to the University of Hawaii coaches. I feel so lucky to be welcomed into such a competitive program that pushes their players to grow not only as soccer players, but individuals as well. I am so stoked to be able to make Hawaii my new home, and continue my soccer career. Whatever my future holds for me, I’ll always be a spirit at heart!
